Additionally, some supplementary information is also sent via WhatsApp, through the WhatsApp community "Madrid Chapter". This community has several groups and is private, only for active chapter members. If you are a member and do not have access, contact us.

No. The H.O.G.® (Harley Owners Group) is the official international club for Harley-Davidson® owners, while the Chapter is the local section of that club. Although both are governed by the same rules, they are legally different entities.

The H.O.G.® offers a set of benefits designed to fuel your passion for riding a Harley. These include the Hog Tales and Enthusiast magazines, rallies and events, local chapters, badges and emblems, the Fly & Ride motorcycle rental program, the Roadside Assistance program, motorcycle shipping, and much more. All managed by professionals hired by Harley-Davidson®.

The Chapter, on the other hand, is a local group made up of volunteers —Chapter members— who dedicate their free time so that the rest of the Club members can enjoy activities in their area, following the guidelines set by the H.O.G.®.

Yes. The local Chapter is affiliated with the Harley Owners Group and cannot exist without it. Similarly, one cannot be a member of a Chapter without simultaneously being a member of H.O.G.®.

Although the Chapter operates as a local, independent, non-profit organization managed by volunteers, it is an integral part of the structure of the international club and is subject to its rules and guidelines.

Yes. Although the H.O.G.® and the Chapter are governed by the same rules, they are different organizations. Local Chapters are part of the H.O.G.®, and it is necessary to be a member of the H.O.G.® to belong to a Chapter.

Each fee provides specific benefits. The fee for the Madrid Chapter is reinvested in activities throughout the year and in charitable actions. It is never used for profit or to reward volunteers.

No. Harley-Davidson® offers the first year of membership to H.O.G.® as a courtesy with the purchase of a new motorcycle, but the Chapter fee is independent and is funded by the contributions of its members, not with funds from Harley-Davidson®.

The Chapter fee is for the calendar year, from January 1 to December 31, regardless of when you join. This, apart from facilitating management, happens because most of the benefits are reported to the member in the final part of the year.

Yes. Some service providers offer deals to H.O.G.® members. Check your member manual or https://www.harley-davidson.com/es/es/content/hog.html for a list.

Additionally, some official H-D stores offer discounts on their boutique or parts. Ask the salesperson at the dealership you visit, and remember, they are not obligated to give these discounts... thank them if they do. Makinostra specifically offers discounts on some products exclusively for the members of their Chapter.

At Makinostra. The patches and badges of the Madrid Chapter are exclusively for Chapter members. With your annual membership, you will receive the "mustache" or patch corresponding to your year of affiliation, as a symbol of your belonging. Other patches and badges are not included in the fee and can be purchased separately.

To ensure that there is stock and to avoid inconveniences, we recommend contacting the staff at Makinostra, our sponsoring dealership, before going to the store, as the Chapter patches are sold there.

These items represent belonging, pride, and commitment to our community. Only active members can acquire and wear them, whether on jackets, vests, or other garments, as a symbol of their affiliation with the Chapter.

Limited, except for charitable matters. The H.O.G.® Madrid Chapter is, above all, an official Chapter of the Harley Owners Group®. As such, it is governed by the rules of H.O.G.® and focuses its activities on organizing rides for members, as well as participating in and collaborating on H.O.G.® events and charitable actions.

Any motorcyclist riding a Harley-Davidson® can become a member of H.O.G.® and, if they wish, also join the local Chapter and participate in our activities. However, during events organized by the Chapter, the display of flags from other clubs is not allowed, at least not at the galas. In turn, the participation recognitions awarded at these events are an exclusive benefit reserved for official H.O.G.® Chapters.

On the other hand, both H.O.G.® and the Chapter do not recognize so-called “free chapters” as official H.O.G.® clubs, although they do recognize their members as individual H.O.G.® members, as long as they have their membership up to date.

No, the vest is not mandatory, but if you decide to wear it, it is important that you do so properly.

Wearing the Chapter vest indicates that you are a active member of the H.O.G.® Madrid Chapter, with your H.O.G.® membership and Chapter fee up to date. Out of respect for the members, you should not wear a vest with our insignia if you are not an active member, even if you are a partner or friend of a member, or have been in the past.

Additionally, wearing it means that you are representing both the Chapter and Makinostra, so a responsible attitude is expected. Avoid wearing the vest in inappropriate contexts or engaging in actions that could harm the image of the Chapter. Our image is important and we take care of it together.

The vest must follow the image rules of the H.O.G.® Madrid Chapter. Modified versions of patches or alternative designs should not be used.

Do not use patches or symbols on the vest that express political, religious, sports, or activist affiliations, or those of groups opposed to the Madrid Chapter.

Yes. A member of H.O.G.® can belong to as many Chapters as they wish, as long as they meet the requirements and have their membership up to date in each of them.

However, when you participate in activities organized by the H.O.G.® Madrid Chapter, and you are a member of the Madrid Chapter, you will do so always as a member of the Madrid Chapter, and not on behalf of another different Chapter.

This means that if you decide to wear a vest during an activity organized by the Madrid Chapter, whether it is open or not, you must wear the vest and the badges corresponding to the Madrid Chapter, and not those of another different Chapter (or another club).

The only usual exception to this rule is for members who, due to living far from Madrid, have their main Chapter as the one in their area of residence. In those cases, and always in a coherent and respectful manner with the organization, they may participate representing their main Chapter.

In any case, during the activities of the Madrid Chapter, its organizational, representation, and image rules apply, which must be respected by all participants.

The Madrid Chapter has a Policy on disciplinary measures and coexistence aimed at protecting respect among members, the proper development of activities, and the image of the Chapter.

This policy establishes the general rules of behavior, the conduct that may be considered inappropriate, the possible measures that the board may adopt, and the procedure that must be followed in each case.

Its purpose is not to punish, but to prevent conflicts, correct behaviors incompatible with the spirit of the Chapter, and ensure that all members can enjoy activities in a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
